According to schedule three supervisory board mandates were awarded by the members’ representatives meeting of the cooperative.

The supervisory board reconfirmed its chairman Nicolas Hofmann in its meeting on 11 December 2020. Nicolas Hofmann, tax consultant and specialist for international tax law from Fischen in the Allgäu region, has been chairman since 2018. Previously, he had been member of the supervisory board for two years. From 2008 up to 2010 and in 2016 up to his change to the supervisory board he had been member of the cooperative’s members’ representatives meeting. Hofmann was appointed tax consultant in 2004 and runs his tax consultancy firm successfully.

“I thank the representatives of our cooperative and the supervisory board members for their faith and am looking forward to actively accompany DATEV’s positive changes and advance the digital transformation of our tax consulting profession – especially in these difficult times regarding our members’ and their clients’ future viability,” says Hofmann.

According to schedule the cooperative’s members’ representatives meeting appointed three seats on the shareholders’ side for the supervisory board – due to the coronavirus pandemic for the first time in a digital meeting: Besides Nicolas Hofmann Markus Gutenberg, tax consultant, Neuss, was reelected to the supervisory board. Alfred Gesierich, tax consultant, Gilching, replaced Andreas Bauer, tax consultant, Langen, who did not run again for the supervisory board.

The composition of the supervisory board remains unchanged since the employee representatives have been elected by DATEV employees in the spring of 2018. Master of business administration and chairman of DATEV’s general works council Manfred Hinzer remains deputy chairman of the supervisory board.
